Your account may have been compromised by spam. Please follow the steps below to review the settings of your calendar.
▼For those using Google Calendar
- Open "Google Calendar" on your computer.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right and open "Settings."
- In the left column, click on "Event settings."
- Find "Automatically add invitations" and change it to "No, only show invitations to which I have responded."
▼For those using iCloud Calendar or others
- In "Simple Calendar," open the details screen of the event that was added automatically.
- Check the "Calendar Name" displayed at the top of the screen.
- Open the settings screen of "Simple Calendar" and tap "Add/Edit Calendar."
- Tap the calendar name you confirmed in step 2.
- Tap "Delete Calendar."
Note: The calendar confirmed in step 2 is likely the one targeted by spam. Deleting the calendar will remove the connection, but all events in it will be deleted as well.
▼For those who cannot delete it with the above methods
- Open the "Settings" app on your device.
- Tap "Accounts" under "Calendar."
- If there is an account added automatically (e.g., "CLICK SUBSCRIBE"), tap and delete it.
Apple and Google seem to be addressing the spam issue, but please take precautions such as using an email address that is hard to guess and avoiding suspicious links.
