What does the number on the app icon badge mean?

The icon badge represents the current date or the number of remaining events for the day.
You can also hide the badge by following the steps below.

How to Hide the Icon Badge

1. Tap "Settings" (gear icon in the upper right corner) in Simple Calendar.
2. Tap "Icon Badge" under "Design."
3. Select "Do not display."
